Wilburn Street Studio Nashville Wedding | Cat and Andy

fun wedding exit with streamers and kissing couple with bride wearing reception denim jacket at wilburn street studio by nashville wedding photographer sara bill photography

What can I say about Cat and Andy’s Wilburn Street Studio wedding celebration? It might have been the most fun wedding ever.

Cat is really close with her mom, and I loved capturing the sweet moments they shared throughout the day. She even wore a wedding dress made from the fabric of her mom’s wedding dress. The sweetest!

After exchanging vows at St. Henry Catholic Church, Cat and Andy had a beautiful butterfly release outside the church to honor all the people they loved who were no longer with them. It was a sentimental, touching tribute. After the butterflies had flown off, we were able to get a group photo of all the guests, which is a rare treat!

Their cute pup, Lola, stopped by for some photos before the reception began. (If you really want wedding photos with your dog, but don’t want to have them around for the whole day, this is one of my favorite options!) Once we had captured all the bridal party photos, we headed to the beautiful Wilburn Street Studio to celebrate.

They chose to have their wedding reception at Wilburn Street Studio because of the indoor and outdoor options, the soaring high ceilings, and the historical feel of the space. The venue has some of the coolest exteriors—think painted brick and creeping vines—and we were able to sneak out during the party to capture some of my favorite couple portraits. The versatility of the space makes it uniquely adaptable for any number of styles or vibes. It’s a bride’s (and photographer’s) dream!

When a couple’s main wedding goal is to have the best time of their lives, you know you’re in for some fun. Their Wilburn Street Studio wedding reception was full of awesome, personal touches. I’m talking a bluegrass band and a magician during cocktail hour (that was an awesome first for me!), disco wigs for the dance floor, and Krystal burgers for a late-night snack. They even surprised the best man with a personalized birthday cake and had the entire reception sing “Happy Birthday,” to him. Cat and Andy know how to throw a party!

And don’t think the party was over when the couple made their grand exit. They used a portable speaker from their awesome DJ, Sparkle City Disco, so they could dance their way down the street to a waiting car with all of their friends and family. It was truly a party until the very last moment!

Vendor love!
